Sugar Check

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

The short version

You can use Sugar Check for Kids without an account. We don't sell your personal information. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful, and we keep your email only if you give it to us.

What we collect

  • Usage data. Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and how you arrived. It uses cookies to tell visits apart. We use this only to improve the site.
  • Searches and filters. When you search or use the Snack Finder, your query is sent to our server to return results. We may keep anonymous search counts to learn which products to add. These aren't tied to your identity.
  • Email, if you choose to share it. If you join the app waitlist or email us, we keep your address to reply or to tell you when the app launches. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and similar) to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

Who we share data with

Links to Amazon, Walmart, and Target take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply. We may disclose information if required by law.

Children

This site is written for parents and caregivers. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us their information, email us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have additional rights under local law. Email contact@sugarcheckforkids.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If we start collecting something new, such as through a mobile app or advertising, we'll describe it here first.
