Not medical advice

Our ratings, evaluations, calculators, and articles are general information to help you compare packaged foods. They aren't medical, nutritional, or dietary advice for your child. Talk to your pediatrician or a registered dietitian about your child's specific needs, especially for allergies, diabetes, or other health conditions.

Accuracy of product data

Product information comes mainly from Open Food Facts and other public sources (see our methodology). Manufacturers change recipes and labels, and source data can contain errors. Always check the Nutrition Facts panel and allergen statement on the package you buy. Never rely on this site alone for allergy decisions.

Our ratings

Sugar tiers are calculated from label data using the published rules on our methodology page. No brand pays for a rating. Ratings are our opinion based on those rules, not a statement that a product is safe, unsafe, healthy, or unhealthy for any particular person.

Links to other sites

We link to retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target so you can find products. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their prices, availability, or content. If we ever earn a commission from a link, we'll say so next to it.

Content and data

Our original writing, ratings, design, and code belong to Sugar Check for Kids. You're welcome to quote or link to our pages with attribution. Please don't copy the site wholesale or scrape it in bulk. Product data derived from Open Food Facts is available under the Open Database License. Brand names and product images belong to their respective owners.

No warranty and limits on liability

The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sugar Check for Kids isn't liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
